Our beloved cooking rat is going to be on stage!!! If some of you don’t know, our generation, Gen Z, has written a musical over this course of quarantine since the start of the pandemic. At first, we started creating this as a joke on Tik Tok, but now it’s coming to life!

On November 21, the musical that has no association with Disney scored its own playbill. Sadly, this musical will most likely be a one-time thing. But who knows with the power of Gen Z! This musical will be premiered on TodayTix on January 1 at 7 PM ET. This stream will last 72 hours and will be a charity event. Proceeds will go towards the Actor Fund after the premiere. Some of you may be wondering, “How did  Gen Z get Broadway’s Attention?!”. The production got the attention of Seaview Productions and of CNN. CEO, Greg Nobile, said how he was impressed with the creative collaboration on TikTok. 

Now, according to Playbill, it is unknown what other songs will be in this one-time production, but we do know the “Ode to Remy”, “Tango for Colette and Linguini,” “Trash is Our Treasure,” and “Anyone Can Cook” is going to be included along with stage and costume designs that were designed on TikTok!
