Poetry: “Allure Me Along”

Poetry%3A+Allure+Me+Along

As you start a song, the sea sings along too.

Allure me along, a siren you are.

Blue eyes gaze upon mine, my eyes are glued.

Oh trouble you are, I look from afar.

Jealous man I am, rage filled me instead.

Singing for a sailor not for my ears.

You’re watching me cry like I’m a hothead.

Like the moon the sun leaves me in many tears.

Me and you are an eclipse: we both glow.

I couldn’t resist her; I forced a date.

Oh, she didn’t like me, why can’t we flow?

Like stars we’re connected to each other’s fate.

I watched you weeks after dating that male.

Same drunk sailor you deceived, I went pale.
