2024: What’s In and What’s Out

2024%3A+Whats+In+and+Whats+Out

It’s 2024, and he new year means a refresh on what to do.  There are many ins and outs this year to start off the year productively. 2024 should be a less stressful year with better relationships with the people you love.  On TikTok, showing off what you want to start doing or normalize in 2024 and what you want to stop has been a trend. After watching some, there are 3 ins and 3 outs that I believe everyone can take into 2024…

#1 In: Don’t strive to be perfect, strive to see progress

Many people hold on to the saying, “practice makes perfect,” but that creates some stress on a person. Instead, you should look to find progress in everything you do, no matter how drastic the change may be.

#2 In: Prioritize the People that Matter Most to You

2024 is a way to start trying to prioritize family time and also being with your friends. The people that reciprocate your feelings to prioritize you should be the people you reach out to. Stay present in your own life and start making plans.

#3 In: Sleep over Stress

Every year, we push ourselves to do the most in the day, which can affect our stress levels negatively.  We should see 2024 as a sleep schedule reset. Sleep can create less stress for us and with a healthy amount of sleep we can conquer the day and accomplish more. You may be more productive as a result and could accomplish more in less time.

#1 Out: Jealousy

The first out should be comparing yourself to someone else and following that it makes you upset. All people find little pieces of themselves that they want to change, but instead in 2024 you should admire something about yourself. You should be happy with yourself and your personality before comparing yourself to other people.

#2 Out: Being Impulsive

Don’t get me wrong, sometimes impulsiveness is for the best, but when it comes to your money, resist. There were many times in 2023 when people bought without thinking and set themselves back. This year should be about budgeting and rewarding yourself with shopping after hard work.

#3 Out: Oversharing

Many people in 2023 shared their personal drama for the world to see and this year we should make it a point to stop that. I know everyone loves drama, but when your first impression of a person is them telling you past drama, it could come off wrong. We should keep the best drama to ourselves and share as time goes on. The immediate need to tell someone should be left in the past. When people dwell in the past, you lose the reality of what’s happening now. Stay present and mysterious in 2024!
