Let’s talk TikTok. Or rather, let’s talk about the talk of TikTok. Her name is Alix Earle, senior at the University of Miami, and she is currently taking over social media. With a current following of 4.4 million followers on TikTok, Earle has blown up in the matter of a few months with her lifestyle influencing girls around the world. 

One of the things about Alix that fans admire most is her genuine and down-to-Earth videos she shares. In her well-known “get ready with me” videos that account for a lot of her fame, she speaks to her followers as if you’re on a simple FaceTime call, creating a real connection with those who watch her content. While teaching her tips and tricks to her “getting-ready” routine, she simultaneously shares stories and advice that make the people appreciate her so much more. In addition to her “get ready with me” videos, you’ll find clothing hauls, Amazon finds, her struggle with acne, and more ongoing life vlogs. 

This growing love and respect across TikTok for Alix Earle has become so big that it’s also becoming comical. Under Earle’s videos, you’ll find hundreds of comments that say something like, “Alix Earle dyed her hair so now I have to dye my hair,” or, “Alix Earle ordered GrubHub, so now I will be ordering Grubhub.” These never fail to make me laugh, but they also just go to show the icon Alix has become to our generation.

While she is down-to-Earth and relatable personality-wise to a lot of people, it is safe to say that Alix never lives a dull moment – her lifestyle being a little less relatable to the majority. For example, she takes her followers along as she flies to Dubai, then flies home and goes to class the next morning, and then hangs out with Channing Tatum at the Magic Mike: Last Dance premiere, and then is the bride in a frat wedding, and then wakes up and attends a yacht party; the list can go on and on. And yes, this all actually happened in the matter of a week. Granted, her carbon footprint is probably not too great with her amount of travels, but again, it’s Alix Earle. We love her too much to care. Her endless social battery and lively day-to-day schedules never fails to impress the people who watch her everyday and followers are eager to watch what’s planned next.
