Who hasn’t been consumed with the latest addicting app, Among Us? The game is taking over classrooms, cafeterias, and hallways throughout schools in America. The survival/guessing game includes an imposter whose goal is to kill everyone on board. The other players are crewmates. The goal is to complete tasks to fix the ship (the setting) and vote out the imposter.

As an avid Among Us player, I always want to be the imposter but never get it. It’s a sneaky role that incites glee in pretty much every player. In my studies of this game, I decided to conduct an experiment. I decided to research and see if any particular color has any effect on the choosing of the imposter. I set out to play 60 games, with 5 games for each color. The mode is The Skeld with one imposter and 9 crewmates (a basic game of Among Us). I think the color to most likely be imposter is red because every time I play with my friends who use that color, they always get imposter and kill me first. My goal is to finally see which colors are sus after all.

After a long week of playing Among Us, finding lobbies that have the color available, and playing for more that 2 hours a day, I have concluded that if you choose dark blue, you have a higher chance of being impostor. When I played with that color, I was the imposter 2 out of 5 times. This isn’t part of the experiment, but for the other times I was a crewmate, the imposter was dark blue a lot. This just proves that we can’t always assume that red is imposter. Sus is dark blue from now on. The final results are listed below in order from most likely to be imposter to least likely. Please use this to your advantage while playing and enjoy.
