Struggling in deciding what to dress-up for this Halloween? Well, here are some suggestions for you…
CLASSIC COSTUME – If you need a last-minute costume, the simplest option is to dress-up as a spooky ghost. All that is needed for this costume is a white sheet and a pair of scissors to cut-out the eye holes. As for shoes, you can wear whatever is most comfortable.
CHARACTER COSTUME – If you want to dress-up as a character, that’s fun, but still a little scary, you can dress-up as one of the characters from Monster High. One well known character that you can dress-up as is Frankie Stein. To transform into Frankie, you can wear a blue dress, preferably plaid. For the top, you can wear a black top with/without puffy sleeves underneath. The accessories are the most important part of this costume, fishnet stockings or black leggings with holes, a black belt, thunderbolt earrings and any type of black shoes. For your hair, you can get a wig, which would be the easiest, but if you are really good at styling hair you can try and recreate Frankie’s hair.
GROUP COSTUME – If you have a group of friends and you all want to match for Halloween, but don’t want to look the exact same, you can dress-up as The Sanderson Sisters from the movie Hocus Pocus.
- Winifred Sanderson – If you decide to be Winifred Sanderson, you can wear a long purple dress with green accents and a dark greenish cloak, robe or button down shirt. If you do not want to wear a dress you can also wear a skirt or pants. If you decide to do this pairing you can wear a dark purple top with green accents and purple bottoms, as well as the dark greenish cloak, robe or button down shirt. As for shoes, you can wear whatever. For your hair, you can dye your hair red, use red spray-dye or you can just get a wig.
- Mary Sanderson – If you decide to dress up as Mary Sanderson, you can wear a long plaid skirt and add an apron that resembles the apron that she wears in the movie. If you decide you don’t want to wear a long skirt, you can wear plaid , along with the apron. For the top, you can wear an orange top with/without puffy sleeves and over it a darker red tank top with thicker straps or a corset with straps. For shoes you can wear anything you like. For your hair, you can dye your hair a dark purple, almost black, use purple/black spray-dye or you can just get a wig.
- Sarah Sanderson – If you decide to dress up as Sarah Sanderson, you can wear a burgundy or red skirt, preferably pleated. If you decide you don’t want to wear a skirt you can wear burgundy or red pants. For the top, you can wear a long sleeve pink top, preferably lace and over it, a red tank top with thicker straps or a corset with straps. For your shoes you can wear anything you like. For your hair, you can dye your hair blonde, use blonde spray-dye or you can just get a wing.
