Traditions during Christmas are significant and enjoyable to people of all ages, all around the world. Traditions can bring family together, like decorating the tree or gathering together to sing carols. Doing things as a family has so many benefits, including getting kids and teens away from electronics so they can appreciate quality family time. Another tradition could be baking cookies. This tradition can get messy but you can laugh and make new memories while having fun.
I know one of my family traditions during Christmas is looking at lights on houses and seeing how they are decorated. I love doing this because I can spend time with my family and I can enjoy these moments away from anything else going on in my life and just focus on making new memories. Building gingerbread houses is another tradition families do. I know I used to do this with my friend and his family during the holidays and it would be so much fun.
Another tradition families do is watch Christmas movies. This can bring families together if you don’t see them that often during the year other than Christmas. Watching movies can improve bonding with family members and make you realize how important family is. Family is so important during the holidays because it provides a moment to enjoy each others company and presence.
Whatever your favorite hobby is, make sure you make time this holiday season to start some new (or carry on the old!) traditions with the ones you love.
