Thanksgiving is one of those holidays that seems to bring everyone together, especially here in America. Here in the United States, a typical Thanksgiving celebration means having a large feast with your loved ones and sharing what you are thankful for. We have the traditional feast of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, mac and cheese, and of course the classic pumpkin pie. But what about other nations? Did you know that Thanksgiving, while largely celebrated in the US, is also celebrated in other countries? But what are different countries’ Thanksgiving meals? Are they the same as ours? - El Salvador – Corn on the Cob, Atol, Tamales, Rigus and Tortillas, Pupusas.
- Italy – Mediterranean Turkey, Stuffing, Pumpkin pie, and candied yams.
- Brazil – Turkey, Pumpkin pie, vegetables, sweet or mashed potatoes.
- China – Steamed Dumplings, Garden Stir Fry, Sesame Turkey, Honey- Hoslin Sweet Potatoes, and Ginger Pumpkin Meringue Pie
