Have you been looking for places to celebrate the upcoming Halloween season? Halloween is approaching fast and there is no better way to celebrate than to go to spooky themed events. This can be achieved by going to a haunted house or even watching Halloween movies. These activities are common all over New York for all the Halloween lovers out there.
Do you happen to be in the city on Halloween? The Village Halloween Parade dominates lower Manhattan each year, and takes place beginning on the corner of Sixth Avenue and Spring Street heading to 16th Street in Manhattan on Halloween night. This parade will mark the 50th anniversary and has attracted up to 60,000 people and millions of spectators over the years. Additionally, the parade’s only cost is to bring a costume!
Moreover, the “PUPkin” Dog Costume Contest takes place at Fort Greene Park and is open to the public. PUPkin event coordinator Alana Davis tells Time Out, “The engineering that some of these people do is really incredible.” Although it may be too late to register this year for the 25th annual contest, you are still able to watch the event on October 28th.
Overall, the season of fall has finally arrived, and it is just starting. So put on your costumes and spice up your Halloween plans!
