Senior Spotlight: Conor Kelly

Senior Spotlight: Conor Kelly

Kirsten Carman, President

Meet Conor Kelly, member of the class of 2023. Conor was one of the Senior Class’s Entrance Chairmen this past Rock Rivalry, and helped lead the class to their first place Entrance and Overall win while also being a huge asset to the pit. Outside of Rock Rivalry, Conor has become a very familiar face at ERHS, playing a prominent role in the band and the musical (he knows how to play 4 instruments!) and running Cross Country, Winter Track, and Spring Track. In addition, Conor contributes to the Yearbook, DECA, and is the VP here at the Gull! It’s safe to say, he has not failed to make a difference here at ERHS and we’re so excited to see what’s in store for him following graduation.

Get to know a little more about Conor! Here are some of his responses to questions about his high school career and post-graduation plans:

What has been your favorite class?

“My favorite class this year has been band because I’ve learned more instruments and have challenged myself to play as many as I can during shows or learning different parts to the same piece.”

What are your plans following high school?

I’m going to college to study music business/entertainment marketing.”

Finish the sentence: “I would not have gotten through high school without…”

“…my off periods in the morning allowing me to sleep in.”

What is something you will truly miss at ERHS after you graduate?

“The musicals!!!”

Funniest memory throughout ALL of high school:

“Playing all of the Thursday night Rock Riv performance with no music. It was traumatizing at the moment but I did pretty well and I laugh at it now.”

If you could give one piece of advice to the underclassmen, what would it be?

“Get involved. You will definitely find something that you like to do and you will feel so much more comfortable if you find a sport/club/activity that you really enjoy.”

What HS accomplishment are you most proud of?

“Playing three instruments during Rock Rivalry and writing most of the music myself.”

Describe each year of high school in ONE word:

“Scary. Separated. Humble. Carefree.”

What is the most unforgettable/memorable project you’ve done in high school?

“Designing a band, tour, and set list for Ms. Horvath’s final in tenth grade.”

Favorite memory with a teacher:

“The 76ers game Freshmen year with Ms. Isik.”
