Throughout this tough time for families all over the world, IHeartRadio hosted a very unique virtual concert on Sunday, March 25 in order to bring monetary relief for people affected by COVID-19.  This virtual concert event which broadcasted on all Fox stations was a great opportunity to bring people together and to take everyone’s minds off the crisis at hand for the time being.

The legendary Elton John hosted and curated the Living Room Concert which was filled with many other talented individuals including Tim McGraw, Lizzo, Billie Eilish, Alicia Keys, Camila Cabello, and Shawn Mendes.  This night of unity and relief was given the title since of “Living Room Concert” because all performers were performing right from their own homes. The artists were filmed by their family members using personal cell phones to capture their performances.

The night of Sunday, March 25 was originally supposed to be the IHeartRadio Music Awards hosted by Usher but it couldn’t take place live at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles because of the coronavirus pandemic.

In an effort to collect money for COVID-19 relief, this show turned out to be very successful in that nearly $8 million was collected to battle the coronavirus.  The money collected will go to Feeding America and First Responders Children’s Foundation.
