After a 6-year hiatus, the Jonas Brothers have finally released new music and they are officially signed to Republic Records. Back on February 28 it was officially announced that Nick, Joe, and Kevin will be reuniting as a group. On March 1, the newly reunited boy band released their single, “Sucker”.  A little over a month after, on April 5, they released another new single titled, “Cool”.

After they broke up as a group in 2013, all the brothers went their own way to establish their independent careers.  Nick Jonas had released two albums (Nick Jonas and Last Year was Complicated) and had collaborated with several artists such as Mike Posner, Anne-Marie, and Nicki Minaj.  To go along with the albums and promotional singles, Nick Jonas had played several large radio station concerts such as Jingle Ball concerts and the BLI Summer Jam. Nick had also ventured out on 2 solo tours, a co-headlining tour in 2016 with Demi Lovato, and had opened up for Maroon 5 in 2015 and for Bruno Mars in 2018.  Other than having a busy and successful music career, Nick had been involved in a countless number of films such as Careful What You Wish For, Goat, and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.

Joe Jonas went a different music route compared to his brother Nick, as he started a band which he titled DNCE.  Two members that Joe invited to be in his band were his friends and former touring partners, Jack Lawless (Drummer) and JinJoo Lee (Guitarist).

Their record label, Republic Records, has worked hard to promote the Jonas Brothers as they begin to release new singles and an album very soon.  They recently appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden for a full week. They also appeared on numerous radio stations to participate in interviews and they have played small promotional shows in cities such as Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, and Atlanta.

The Jonas Brothers announced on April 22 that their new album titled, Happiness Begins, will be released on all streaming platforms on Friday, June 7 which will include their two first singles “Sucker” and “Cool”.  To coincide with the album release, the Jonas Brothers officially announced their Happiness Begins Tour which will stretch in arenas all around the world. The closest tour dates are on August 29 and 30 at the “World’s Most Famous Arena” Madison Square Garden with Bebe Rexha and Jordan McGraw set to open the show that night and on November 23 at the Barclays Center.  This will be their first tour after a 6-year hiatus and they are sure to amaze their audience every night.

To promote their comeback as a group, the Jonas Brothers are making appearances on the big screen. On June 15th, they will be the surprise guests on the all new show, All That, which also stars the actors Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell.  Also on June 4th the Jo-Bros will release a documentary about them titled ‘Chasing Happiness.’ The Jonas Brothers have said that their quick rise to fame is also what tore them apart and in this new film they reevaluate what success means to them. It will show their story of from when they grew up in a small town in New Jersey until now when they are better than ever as a group.

The Jonas Brothers, after their long-awaited reunion, have made remarkable success by becoming the first boy band to reach number 1 on the Billboard Charts in almost two decades.  Their comeback as a group is finally breaking through the music world and are the biggest group currently.
