Recently the 6th grade elementary graduating class of 2018 officially entered the East Rockaway Jr-Sr High School. Most students are excited, but some are nervous and stressed. Students are not used to, and sometimes overwhelmed by all of the assignments. The students are working on adjusting to their new setting in ERHS.  To help with the transition, teachers work to  avoid giving tests and projects on the same day.   “This makes it easier to stay on top of my work and tests.” says 7th grader Kevin Lynch.  As the new 7th graders are getting used to their new surroundings, most of them are now completing all of their assignments and becoming more used to their new setting.
