East Rockaway Varsity Football really rocked up Homecoming on September 24th. The Rocks played the Oyster Bay Baymen and defeated them 33-21.  Other than the football experience, there were many family friendly activities. There were multiple concession stands, with snacks and hot dogs. The art program had a face painting stand for people of all ages. During halftime, the Homecoming King and Queen, Michael Saporito and Diana Locoteta, rode alongside the Homecoming Prince and Princess, Paul Bertolotti and Kristi Ackerina, on the back of a pick-up truck. The festivities then continued with a performance from the Varsity and JV cheer teams. It was a very enthusing experience for everybody in attendance as the crowd cheered along with the cheer team, shouting “…Let’s go, let’s go, R-O-C-K-S!” At the end of the day, everybody left the game with a smile on their face and a win in the books.
